During the month of April, communities across the globe celebrate with events that honor achievements of the environmental movement while raising awareness of the need to protect Earth's natural resources for future generations. St. James continues that Earth Day tradition, now in its 54th year. In addition, another equally important observation/celebration is Arbor Day, with a focus on tree filled landscapes and healthy ecosystems. We hope you will join us during our special FREE event at the St. James Community Center, where you will be inspired by our speakers, our exhibitors, and the St. James Conservancy Board members.

“Today is Earth Day. I don't want to end the day without an acknowledgment of the wonder that we actually live here. Okay, there is so much terror seeping around every corner. But there is also beauty, creativity, and life. Look around, we are blessed to be here. Really. Blessed.”

"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts."
